the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the postponement of the annual examination for 10th-grade Vocational Subjects. Originally slated for March 7th, the exams in soft zones have been rescheduled to April 4th.
The decision was communicated through a notification by the Director Academics of JKBOSE, citing unavoidable circumstances. The affected subjects include agriculture, apparels, makeup and home furnishing, automotive, beauty and wellness, health core, IT& ITES, Physical Education & Sports, Plumbing/Retail, security, telecommunication, tourism and hospitality, electronics, and hardware.

The notification read, “In view of unavoidable circumstances, the examination of Vocational Subjects… of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) Session Annual (Regular) 2024 of Soft Zone areas of UT of Jammu & Kashmir, which was scheduled to be held on 07-03-2024 has been postponed and shall be held on 04-04-2024.”
However, the board assured that the examination for the rest of the subjects, scheduled to commence from March 11th, will proceed as per the previously issued date sheet.
This announcement comes as a necessary adjustment to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations amid changing circumstances, offering clarity to students and educators alike.
