Consequent upon the declaration of NEET UG, 2023 result by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 13-06-2023, and subsequent Notifications / Notices issued by the Board with regard to Registration / verification of documents, filling up of online preferences, and other actions including notifying the Sports merit of candidates vide Annexure B of Notification No. 045-BOPEE of 2023 dated 27.07.2023 and after the due application of reservation rules as amended from time to time on the basis of merit cum preferences preferred by the eligible candidates through online mode, the list of candidates provisionally selected for undergoing MBBS/BDS Courses – 2023 in various Government / Private Medical / Dental Colleges of the UT of J&K is hereby notified as per Annexure-A to this Notification, which shall be available on the official website of the Board viz www.jkbopee.gov.in only.

The candidates shall report to the Colleges allotted to them up to 14-08-2023 until 04.00 p.m. along with the following documents in original:

Documents Required for Admission

  1. Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation): The certificate validating the candidate’s date of birth.
  2. Marks Card of 10+2: Proof of the candidate’s academic qualifications.
  3. Domicile Certificate: Proof of residence in the UT of J&K.
  4. Category Certificate: If applicable, for candidates belonging to specific categories.
  5. Valid Income Certificate: Required for Poor & Backward Category candidates, wherever necessary.
  6. NEET Score Card 2023: Proof of the candidate’s NEET UG 2023 score.
  7. Compulsory Service Bond: For candidates from the UT of Ladakh.
  8. Any Other Required Documents: As specified by the respective college authorities.

The candidates who have been allotted Government/Private Colleges in accordance with their online preferences in order of merit shall mandatorily have to join against their provisionally allotted College/Seat(s) up to 16-08-2023 (up to 04:00 P.M.). It is crucial to note that any candidate failing to join against his/her allotted seat(s) will not be eligible to participate in the 2nd round of upgradation/allotment counseling under any circumstances.

Verification of Documents and Admission Process

It shall be the sole responsibility of the concerned colleges to ensure proper checks and verification of documents before the candidate(s) are allowed for admission, strictly adhering to NMC (MCI)/DCI guidelines.

After the last date of joining, any unfilled seat(s) will be communicated to the Board by the respective colleges. These unfilled seats, against Hindu Minority Quota and NRI Quota seats in ASCOMS and IDS, shall be filled up in the 2nd round of counseling for which the dates shall be notified separately.

Role of College Authorities

The Heads of the Colleges/Institutions shall open their respective colleges during holidays, including Sundays, falling up to 16.08.2023. They shall furnish any shortfalls, if present, to the J&K BOPEE by 16-08-2023 up to 05:00 p.m. to enable the Board to take further necessary actions in the matter.
